Ok! So now you are 7 you can move up to Brownies and see what fun they have at meetings here.
Don't worry about moving up because your friends may already be at Brownies and if they are not then there are lots of other girls to meet.
You can be a Brownie between the ages of 7 and 10, and there are lots of activities and badges to do at meetings.
The Brownie Leader is called Brown Owl and her helper may be called Snowy Owl. Often there are other helpers too.
Parents can help out as well as Young Leaders. If your mum would like to help out then ask Brown Owl as we are always looking for an extra pair of hands.
Badges There are lots of badges for Brownies to do (nearly 70!) so you will be sure to find something you like doing and you can try new things too. If you enjoy something and want to learn more about it then why don't you ask about doing a badge. Lot of topics are covered from Agility to World Traveller and Circus Performing to Stargazer and Toymaker.
When you have completed an Interest badge you will receive your badge to sew on to your sash or gilet at your unit meeting.
Most Brownies wear their Promise badge on the right and their Six badge on the left. The unit name tape is often worn on the right shoulder.
The GirlGuiding UK website has a list of all the badges you can do: Brownie Badges
The Brownie Guide Promise:
I promise that I will do my best: To love my God, To serve the Queen and my country, To help other people and To keep the Brownie Guide Law.
The Brownie Guide Law : A Brownie Guide thinks of others before herself, and does a good turn every day. The Brownie Guide Motto :
Lend a Hand
