Guides
|
Guides do loads of different activities at meetings. You can still work towards badges if you like, but you can also work towards the Go For It Challenges
|
|
You can be a Guide between the ages of 10 and 14. |
|
Take a look at the Go For It website. |

| Here's a list of the badges that you can do too: Guide Badges |

The unit is split up into groups called Patrols. |
There are usually about 6 girls in each patrol and each patrol is led by a Sixer and a Seconder. These girls will listen to your thoughts and ideas and pass them onto the Guider.
You may also be lucky enough to have a Young Leader at your meetings. She is working on her Adult Leadership qualification and will help the Guiders out at meetings by organising games and activities.
There is a Guide Promise, a Guide Motto and a Guide Law which each girl needs to learn and understand before she in enrolled as a Guide.
The Guide Promise: I promise that I will do my best, To love my God, To serve the Queen and my country and To keep the Guide Law
The Guide Law: 1. A Guide is honest, reliable and can be trusted. 2. A Guide is helpful and uses her time and abilities wisely. 3. A Guide faces challenge and learns from her experiences. 4. A Guide is a good friend and a sister to all Guides. 5. A Guide is polite and considerate. 6. A Guide respects all living things and takes care of the world around her.
The Guide Motto: Be Prepared
